Factum Electronics, world-leading supplier of equipment for digital multimedia broadcasting, has once again been chosen to deliver digital radio equipment to SRG SSR in Switzerland.

The orders and deliveries are made through Factums agent Teletrend and are based on the new family of platforms, which is an entirely new 1U PC in Factum’s 3rd generation of industrial computers.

Lars-Peder Lundgren, VP Sales at Factum, commented:
“This continued confidence from SRG SSR will enable the Swiss market to exploit the strengths and opportunities of DAB digital radio further.
The new platform is consistent with our strategy for providing ultra-low power, environmentally friendly, high performance digital radio head end equipment across the broadcasting, network provision and consumer electronics markets.
Our new platform have huge potential and combined with our software and management systems, commercial expertise and support and engineering power, this will create a significant total solution provider for the global DAB digital radio market. “

During 2012 Factum has already delivered to the German DAB+ build out and orders are now received also from France, Czech Republic and Norway.
In Hong Kong the success of the service multiplexers, one of Factum’s showpieces, will continue with service multiplexer deliveries to a number of radio stations in the area.

South Korea is ordering regularly to one of Factum’s largest installations in the world, this time to increase the level of redundancy.
Furthermore Kuwait has ordered two large systems and in Australia both CRA and CBAA have gone over to use Factum’s latest SW version 6.0 after a large- scale upgrade throughout the continent.
